Health and the Law of Attraction

If you have been following this health blog for any length of time, you know it’s about the importance of nutrition, including diet and supplementation, as well as exercise and avoiding toxicity. In this blog, I want to explore the connection between a diet of healthy thoughts, exercising vibrational and emotional balance, and avoiding toxic stress.

“Thoughts become things.” “You bring about what you think about.”

Have you heard of these truths? You may have read, “The Secret” or watched the movie a few years back. It was basically re-packaging an ancient truth about the Law of Attraction, which basically states that you attract into your reality what you focus on in your mind.

The Law of Attraction is usually used to get what you want in the area of finances and relationships, but it can also be used to achieve and maintain optimal health. Quantum physicists are discovering that our body is really the product of our thoughts, that there is a connection between the nature of our thoughts and emotions in determining the structure and function of our bodies.

Consider why the placebo effect works. When patients think the placebo is effective, it turns out it is. Scientists are discovering that the human mind can be a bigger factor in the healing arts than medication. There is also new research in the connection between disease and stress. But consider this. All stress begins with a single negative thought. Negative thinking, left unchecked, manifests stress. Stress is not a cause, it is an effect. The cause is negative thinking.

The good news is, no matter what you have manifested, you can change it. It can be said that lack of health is created to give us feedback, to let us know we are out of balance. We have all heard stories of how people have recovered from illness through love, gratitude, joy and laughter. Our body has a wonderfully designed immune system that gives us the ability to self heal. It can do this more easily when it is given tools like good nutrition, rest, exercise, as well as a balanced stress free mental and emotional state. Our body is made up of trillions of cells that are continually replaced. Cells contain “cellular memories” and open or close depending on the stress that surrounds them. You can change your cellular environment by changing what you focus on.
Often, when we think we are focusing on wellness, we are really focusing on avoiding disease. You think you are thinking about being well, when you are really worried about being sick. The only way to be sure of the vibrational difference is by paying attention to the emotion that accompanies your thought. Feeling your way to the thoughts that promote wellness is much easier than trying to think yourself there. Make a commitment to yourself to feel good and then guide your thoughts accordingly.

Focusing upon subjects that cause a prolonged feeling of negative emotion will eventually cause dis-ease. Your emotions come in response to your focus, and you have the power to find thoughts that feel better, and when you consistently do this, the Law of Attraction will bring an improvement to your experience. The key to achieving and maintaining well being is to notice the indicators of discord in the early stages. Make a decision to never allow negative emotion to linger within you. It is your work alone to refocus your attention in order to feel better. Joy, appreciation, love and health are all synonymous. Resentment, jealousy, depression, anger and sickness are all synonymous. Illness is nothing more than a physical indicator of energy out of balance.

Chronic attention to unwanted things holds you in a place of disallowing what you want, like radiant health. It is true that by knowing what you do not want, you are able to clarify what you do want. So you identify the problem, but then you must quickly move to the solution by telling yourself a solution-oriented story. Tell the story you want to live and you will eventually live it.

Don’t let present circumstances overwhelm you. Don’t be so impressed with your current reality. It is only a reflection of thoughts and choices you made in the past. Think beyond what is happening right now, and build an image in your mind of the perfect health, or the perfect body that you want to have. The Law of Attraction always responds to your thoughts, not your current reality. Tell your story the way you want it to be rather than like it is.
Also, when we have an illness, we talk about it all the time. A better thing to do is change your story. Speak only the words of what you want. Again, when we listen to others talk about their illness, you are giving all your thought and focus to illness, which just attracts illness. Do not give energy to other people’s illness. Change the conversation to thoughts of gratefulness. You perpetuate in your experience what you perseverate in your mind.

FIND A WAY, to take your attention away from unwanted things. You have the ability to focus your thoughts in a different direction from what is happening right now. You have the ability to imagine. When you visualize what you want, a vibrational alignment occurs, and the Law of Attraction brings it to your life experience.

The Law of Attraction does not distinguish between your thoughts of current reality and thoughts of imagined reality. It simply responds to your thoughts, real or imagined, current or remembered. Every thought vibrates. So focus upon thoughts that make you feel good, which will attract others, until your vibrational frequency will raise to the place where you are enveloped in vibrant health.

It’s more about Alignment than Action. What I mean by that is, you can eat healthy, take vitamins, exercise, and take all the right healthy actions, but comparatively speaking, you will not get as much leverage toward abundant health as you do when you understand the power of thought and take the time to align with the energy that created the universe.

You know you are in alignment when you know what you want, you believe you can receive it, and you focus all of your attention on it, and create a good feeling though telling yourself a new story about it. When your thoughts are chronically good feeling, your physical body will thrive. So first, find a good feeling alignment about whatever you want, and then take inspired action.

So wellness is all about focused deliberate creation. Practiced alignment by consistent good feeling thoughts. Your body continually responds to your thoughts. In fact, your body is a pure reflection of the way you think. Illness is about resistance and disallowing, and never about aging. Beliefs about aging are all in our minds. Resistance is caused by focusing upon the lack of what is wanted. “I am tired of being fat.” Allowing is caused by focusing upon what is wanted. “I am developing a fat-burning machine.”
The two factors required in the creation of anything: Want it and allow it. Desire and belief. When you focus on what you lack, you attract more lack. That is one more reason why diets don’t work. You are aware of your fat, you are aware of your body looking the way you do not want it to look. So you say, “I’m going to get rid of all this stuff I do not want. I’m going on a diet.” But, your attention is given to what you don’t want, and so you hold it to you. Instead, visualize the body you want to have, and you will attract it. When you feel fat, you cannot attract slender.

The basis of the Law of Attraction is like attracts like. Your body will respond to the image you have of yourself. So begin to see yourself as healthy, and you will be. Get happy, then eat. Do not try to eat your way to happiness. As you make emotional balance your top priority, your relationship with food will change. And even better, your impulse toward food, and your response to food will change.

It may very well be true that our physical wellness is affected much more by our vibrational balance and alignment than it is by the things we put into our body. Our diet and exercise may play a smaller role than the thoughts we think, and the way we feel. So while we need to continue to take healthy steps toward wellness though diet and exercise, we need to also factor into the equation the truth about our vibrational balance and the story we tell. Because the story you tell is the basis of your life. So tell it the way you want it to be.

Be well,

Ken Waite
